Not medical advice

Fineprint is a reading aid, not a medical device, and doesn't replace reading the label yourself. It reads text from photos and matches it against a list of ingredient names. It can misread blurry, curved or poorly lit labels, miss ingredient names it doesn't know, and can't know about changes or cross-contact that the label doesn't show. Barcode results come from a crowd-sourced database that can be incomplete or out of date.

A result of "No flags" means nothing on your list was found in the text. It doesn't mean a product is safe for you. If you or someone you shop for has a severe allergy or a medical condition, always read the package, follow your doctor's advice, and contact the manufacturer when in doubt.

No warranty

Fineprint is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that results are accurate or complete, and we aren't liable for any harm from relying on them.

Subscriptions

Plus and Family are auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple ID. They renew automatically unless you cancel in Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before they end. Refunds are handled by Apple.

License

Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard License Agreement.
